How to Apply Eye Makeup For Teens
Learning the right way to apply eye makeup is very important enhancing the color of your eyes. You can really have fun applying eye makeup. There are endless eye looks, from rock star to retro, limited only by your creativity.
Thefirst step in applying eye makeup would be applying eyeliner. If you want to try
eyeliner, there are three cosmetic products you can try: liquid eyeliner, eye
pencils, or eye shadow powder. Liquid eyeliner creates a sharp line, but it can
be tricky to work with and smears easily. For retro looks, try drawing a thick
line with black liquid liner just across the top of your eyelid, then swooping
out past the lid in a tail. Eye pencils are easier to work with than liquid
eyeliner and often comes in a wide array of colors. For smoky eyes, look for
soft eye pencils; harder eye pencils make harder lines. Try rubbing the eye
pencil on the back of your hand to make it easier to draw with. Finally, most
makeup pros prefer the eye shadow powder method to eye liquid or eye pencils.
With this method, you dip a moistened eyeliner brush (the slender, pointed brush
in sets) into any loose eye powder. If you want bold, colorful eyeliner, this
might be the best method for you.
There are many ways to apply eye
shadow. You can pick just one vibrant color and brush it along your lid. You can
use two colors, one for your lid and one to highlight, or one for your lid and
one for your crease. Or you can use the traditional three-color method: with
three colors of eye shadows within a single color family (like three browns or
three pinks), brush the medium shade of eye shadow on your lid, brush the
darkest shade of eye shadow in the crease of your lid, and use the palest shade
of eye shadow to highlight the browbone above your eyelid. Remember that eye
shadows in neutral colors (like peach, plum, and brown) look great on everyone,
but there’s no reason to stick to neutrals. Eye shadow with jewel-tones,
pastels, even glitter can look fabulous. The only absolute rule with regards to
eye shadow is to experiment until you find something that makes your eyes look
even more pretty.
Mascara makes your lashes look longer and, therefore,
opens up your eyes, but not if your mascara is clumpy! Use an eyelash brush to
separate your eyelashes right after you’ve applied your mascara (and one or two
coats are sufficient). Also, if you use an eyelash curler, which can help make
your lashes look longer and fuller, be sure to use this before you apply mascara
or else your lashes might get stuck in the curler.
